Sedona, AZ + Best Friend = Wow!

So it's not often that a photographer gets to shoot his or her best friend's wedding. When my best friend called with the idea, I had to jump on it quickly. I have to admit that I wondered if I would cry through the whole ceremony or stay in the "photographers mode"...luckily the day could not have gone any better.

Jessica and Guillermo are such an amazing couple that has a heart for both their friends and family. Yes, it was amusing to see a crew from Tennessee and a crew from Spain try to interact, but it was beautiful to watch how non-verbal communication speaks louder than words . It was a honor to be able to capture this wedding. The camera loved them (they exceed the words "handsome couple") and I loved seeing them both interact. Not many people qualified in my book to marry my best friend...but Guillermo fit the bill perfectly.

Jess and Guille, I love you both and cannot wait to walk through life with you! Miss you...

The Bigelows

Saturday was a great day! I got the pleasure of shooting Kirtin and Rob's wedding...they are my couple that can totally pull off the "no smile" picture. The day went exactly how they pictured it in their heads...about three times at the reception Kirstin told me that the day could not be more perfect. You got to love hearing a bride say that! Not only did she have an amazing dress that will stand out in my mind for a long time, but she was radiating when she was around Rob. They both gave a toast/speach to their guest and Kirstin told Rob that he completed the picture she's had always dreamed about for her wedding since she was a little girl...it was priceless. It truly was a joy to be a part of the day and I hope you enjoy these few images.

Megan and Andrew

Wow...there are times when I love the beach and last Saturday was one of those times. Paso was beyond hot so my assistant, Shelbea, and I were thrilled that we got to venture to the Shell Beach for Megan and Andrew's wedding. The day was beautiful and they were amazing. It was fun capturing their personalities as well as their love for each other on camera...anyone could tell that they have fun together. Megan had a calming feature for Andrew and Andrew had a way to make her giggle and be herself. Best of luck Mr. and Mrs. Jenest!

My amazing husband

I am sure that many of us could comment how our spouse has an interesting job...I think my husband's would have to be up there on the list. Not only is it interesting...it's amazing! Chris works for a non-profit organization called Young Life. Basically, Young Life is an outreach organization to junior high and high school kids. Well, as part of his job, he is away for a month to work at a camp during the summer. The past two years he has had the program position where he is in charge of all the activities and humor for the month. As you can see, the humor part comes easy for him. :) I love his job and I love my husband. We are blessed to be a part of this ministry and I think it keeps us younger...and on our toes.
