A Tennessee Christmas...

Someone once told me that friends come and go, but family lasts forever. The more I think about it, the saying is true. With each passing year, I find that all 5 of the kids in my family grow closer...maybe it's because we are getting older or maybe it's simply because we are maturing. Nonetheless, it's amazing to watch us develop friendships despite the fact that we have a few thousand miles between us. This past Christmas season was completely busy, however getting to spend it with my side of the family was great. We ate more than we should have, stayed up late chatting and watching America's Funniest Home Videos, and had an amazing (chaotic) time with the entire extended family.

One of the highlights from the trip was getting to take some portraits of my brother's family. Oddly enough, we are both wedding photographers (what's the chance of that?) and we rarely get photos of our family. I could have taken pictures all day long. Besides the fact that they are family, they are adorable to watch interact. The nephews made me laugh and melt at the same time while my brother and his wife grinned from ear to ear...call it family pride I suppose but it was a blessing to capture their expressions.
