Baby Soren {Paso Robles}

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping newborn? Well...maybe the way a mother looks her newborn could compete...I find myself giddy every time I have the opportunity of capturing a newborn's first baby portraits. Hearing their precious noises and seeing their tiny features is enough to make anyone melt. This little man has to be one of the easiest babies I have meant. He would literally let us put him anywhere to capture good lighting for his pictures (I joked that he is going to be a model). Soren's mom is a dear, dear friend of mine so at one point I almost got teary eyed just seeing what an incredible mother she is to her two boys. I look forward to watching (and capturing) Soren's growth. Congratulations Hamons!

Peterson Family {Paso Robles}

Four years and counting...I have taken the Peterson's family portraits for four years now and it's been amazing! With two little boys and a baby girl on the way, their lives are anything but boring. Chris and Katie are stellar parents who enjoy laughing with (and at) their kids while still encouraging them in all they do...It's inspirational for myself to watch and learn from them all. Thanks for the friendship and Happy Birthday Chris!

The Yates Family {Paso Robles}

I have been blessed with the privilege of being the family photographer for some amazing folks. I find true joy in capturing a family's growth and journey through life. The Yates Family is one of those families to me...I captured their beautiful baby girl from 6 weeks old until now when she is over 3. Mac's brilliant blue eyes have grabbed my attention (and camera) from day one. Rob is an amazing man of integrity, compassion and humor. He's life journey is definitely not what we have imagined yet he handles the road with grace. I proudly can claim him as a role model for the Blake Family.

Saturday was the first sunny day all week from the crazy rain storms on the Central Coast. We couldn't have hoped for more for our portrait session. Mac was dolled up in her ballerina attire and vibrant self. Rob brought along a few props for his beautiful daughter to truly "shine in the spotlight." I loved it! ....Thanks Rob and Mac for the joy of spending time and life with you both.

Best of 2010

It's been a humbling start to 2010 with the joy of being selected for two amazing awards. A. Blake Photography was voted "Brides Choice Awards 2010" by the WeddingWire as well as "The Knot Best of Weddings". The Jelso + Hamon Families {Paso Robles}

I have to say I have some of the best friends one can come by! I always look forward to taking their family portraits since I know their kids, what makes them laugh, and when they are done. Saturday was a time full of laugher, chasing and candy as we captured the Jelso and Hamon families. All three boys are some of my daughter's best buddies so when I was editing some of the pictures, I was brought to laughter by their facial expressions. They are all so precious and we truly love them like a family. Hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.
