There is something special to me to be able to capture a family at their house or family property. I feel it tells THEIR story in a place that is full of memories of all kind. Kristen reached me and asked to shoot on their family ranch in Santa Maria and it was magical. Everything about the property was on my favorite list but greater than that, it was amazing seeing her twins in a setting familiar to them. Things like playing on the tire swing, climbing the tree with the broken down trunk or reading a book on the couch inside the log cabin...all were just a few of the special places we took pictures around. It was a gift taking theses sweet family pictures for this family and I love seeing them every year!
My cheeks hurt from editing these sweet pictures because there was so much authentic joy, surprise and excitement as Josh proposed to Kelsey. I don't think we could have asked for a more perfect setting either...hilltop view of Opolo Vineyard, gorgeous couple, wonderful wines and happy tears. And if you cannot tell, she said yes!
