It's said that a picture tells a thousand words but I would like to change that today and say it tells a thousand tears. Today is a special day to remember through the heartache of the last 2 years since it would have been our dear best friends' son's 6th birthday. Sweet Soren, our Super Hero, went to be with Jesus at the young age of 4. Understanding all of this has rocked our hearts and faith but we do know that God is good and God is faithful even through the uncertainty of pain. Soren was a gift. He loved candy, super heroes, his family, pajamas, and adventure. This time last year the Hamons had a birthday/remembrance party for Soren where we all wrote as message to Soren on red (one of his favorite colors) balloons and released them as a corporate group. I was blessed with being able to capture this day and this picture still gives me chills, tears and a huge smile. The pain is too big to carry for a friend but I have learned through the years that I can stand next to our hurting friends and cry or hug them. I ask you all to say a prayer today for John, Shiloh, Jack and Selah are they miss and rejoice over the gift Soren was to their family. LOVE WINS.
